Corinthians beat São Paulo 3-2 in round 15 of the Brasileirão on Sunday, securing their first run of four consecutive home wins this season at Neo Química Arena.
The sequence began on 15 April with a 2-0 defeat of Independiente Santa Fe in the Libertadores group stage, then 1-0 over Vasco da Gama in the league, and 2-0 against Peñarol of Uruguay. Sunday’s derby victory made it four.
The win matches a four-game home streak recorded between February and March 2025, when Corinthians beat Universidad Central 3-2 in the Libertadores qualifiers, as well as Mirassol, Santos and Barcelona de Guayaquil across the Paulista and continental fixtures.
Their best recent home run remains the five straight between January and February 2025, seeing off Velo Clube 2-1, Água Santa 2-1, Noroeste 2-1, São Bernardo 2-0 and Santos 2-1 in the Paulista first phase.
Despite Sunday’s result, Corinthians remain in the Brasileirão relegation zone. They briefly climbed to 16th during the round, but goal difference kept them 17th.
Fernando Diniz’s side now turn to the Copa do Brasil. They host Barra of Santa Catarina at 19:30 on Thursday at Neo Química Arena in the second leg of the fifth round, holding a 1-0 lead from the first leg.
