Corinthians in talks over new ticketing at Neo Química Arena

Corinthians is in talks with Ticketmaster and Ingresse, companies interested in taking over the management of Fiel Torcedor, ticket sales for matches, and the facial recognition system at Neo Química Arena. These companies may replace the current operators, Ligatech and One Fan.

According to ge.globo, Ticketmaster's proposal to Corinthians includes an advance of receivables of R$ 100 million in the first year and R$ 150 million in the second, along with a sponsorship of R$ 40 million and a five-year contract. The commercial model establishes commissions of 8% on gross ticket sales and 10% on Fiel Torcedor revenue.

The company also proposes the development of a customized platform for fan experiences and integration with major events. The package also includes potential investments, such as modernizing the lighting at Fazendinha and creating a museum at Neo Química Arena, subject to public authority approvals.

Ingresse offers an advance of up to R$ 400 million in a five-year contract, R$ 100 million in the first year, and the rest contingent on sales performance. The company, which already works with Botafogo, Bahia, and Grêmio, proposes complete and customized technological integration. The model includes a 6% fee on tickets and commissions between 5% and 10% on Fiel Torcedor.

Information gathered by Timão Central indicates that Corinthians has been negotiating with these companies for several months, without any prior consultation with the Technology Department regarding the technical feasibility of potential changes. The department was reportedly informed of the negotiations only in recent weeks. When contacted, Marcelo Munhoes, Corinthians' Technology Director, stated that his department is cautiously evaluating a potential change of companies due to the technological processes and studies necessary to enable such a change.

It is worth noting that both companies have expressed interest in taking over the complete package – management of Fiel Torcedor, ticket sales, and facial recognition system. If Corinthians proceeds with one of the proposals, or a third one, it will have to terminate the current contracts with Ligatech and One Fan.

Currently, the contract with Ligatech, responsible for the access systems and equipment at Neo Química Arena, is considered simpler. In it, the company provides the equipment on a loan basis, with Corinthians expected to pay R$ 500,000 in case of contract termination. In the case of One Fan, responsible for managing ticket sales and operating the Fiel Torcedor system, a potential termination would entail a cost exceeding R$ 30 million and a minimum period of one year.

Another piece of information gathered by Timão Central indicates that both Ticketmaster and Ingresse were introduced to the club by Herói Vicente, responsible for the Expansion, Innovation, and Business Directorate. When contacted, the director stated:

“I deny the existence of any information in this regard. There is no confirmation to be provided. Any institutional interactions of the Club, when they exist, are not personalized nor subject to disclosure, being treated exclusively in the competent internal forums. Out of institutional duty of caution and respect for processes, Corinthians does not comment on or promote news without official character.”

In addition to Ingresse and Ticketmaster, Corinthians is analyzing proposals from other companies in the sector, aiming to secure a lower-cost and more financially advantageous agreement, especially in relation to the contract with One Fan, established during the management of Duilio Monteiro Alves.
