Corinthians in talks to sign Botafogo goalkeeper Neto | OneFootball

Corinthians are exploring a deal to sign Botafogo goalkeeper Neto, 36. Globo.com reports that talks between the clubs are at an early stage and could develop in the coming days.

The São Paulo side returned to the market for an experienced keeper after João Ricardo, 37, failed a medical and went back to Fortaleza.

The transfer window for players who featured in state championships runs until 27 March.

Neto has not been included in Botafogo squads by head coach Martín Anselmi for technical reasons. Signed in mid 2025, he has made nine appearances for the Rio club so far.

The goalkeeper has also played for Arsenal and Bournemouth in England, Barcelona and Valencia in Spain, and Juventus and Fiorentina in Italy. He began his career at Athletico.
