Corinthians’ Conselho Deliberativo justice committee has sent an opinion to president Leonardo Pantaleão urging disciplinary action over missing Nike kit, naming vice-president Armando Mendonça and administrative superintendent Ricardo Okabe for potential breaches of the club’s Statute.

ge.globo reports that the committee wants the Ethics and Discipline Commission to open a case, gather further evidence, hear those involved with full rights of defence, and, if warranted, impose sanctions proportionate to the findings.

An audit completed in November 2025, led by technology chief Marcelo Munhoes with systems coordinator Reginaldo Nascimento, found diverted items, control failures, an exceeded Nike quota and weak stock management at CT Joaquim Grava and Parque São Jorge. Mendonça was cited as overseeing materials control.

Mendonça, Munhoes and administrative director Fábio Soares Souza testified. Mendonça did not deny removing items, blaming system faults and a lack of prior control, with informal requests. Ex-manager Rafael Salomão, dismissed in February, said Mendonça took charge of item management, a point Souza backed.

Allegedly intimidating conduct and attempts to influence the probe are cited, with possible breaches of articles 24 and 122. Contradictions include 19 NFL-patched shirts for the 31 August 2025 derby withdrawn without system entry after a cancelled request, and unrecorded financial movements.

Okabe is also under scrutiny over an email to Munhoes deemed inappropriate and potentially intimidating, and for remarks to auditor Reginaldo Nascimento. Mendonça called the process political persecution, denied overseeing materials control, sought an independent audit, said he would resign if theft is proven, and awaits the police inquiry.
