Corinthians learn kick-off time for Supercopa do Brasil clash with Flamengo

Corinthians already has the date, location, and time set for the 2026 Supercopa Rei match. As the 2025 Copa do Brasil champion, Timão will face Flamengo, the winner of the Brazilian Championship of the same season, on February 1st at 4 PM (Brasília time), at the Mané Garrincha Stadium in Brasília.

Initially, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) considered the possibility of holding the decision in Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo. However, the entity opted for the federal capital as the venue for the clash. For the final, Mané Garrincha will have an equal ticket distribution between the fans of Corinthians and Flamengo.

In a draw held by CBF last Thursday, it was established that the Fiel will be positioned in the West and South sectors of the stadium. Meanwhile, the fans of the Rio club will occupy the North and East sectors. It is worth noting that the areas designated for Corinthians fans usually have less prominence in TV broadcasts, as the East sector is traditionally the main one framed by cameras throughout the matches.

This will be the fourth edition of the competition in Brasília, with the others taking place in 2020, 2021, and 2023. Other Supercopa Rei decisions have occurred in different cities across the country in recent years.

In 2022, the duel was held in Cuiabá, between Flamengo and Atlético-MG. In 2024, the final took place in Belo Horizonte, with São Paulo defeating Palmeiras, while the 2025 edition was held in Belém, in the clash between Flamengo and Botafogo.

Before taking the field in pursuit of the first trophy of the season, the team led by Dorival Júnior officially kicks off the 2026 calendar this Sunday. Corinthians faces Ponte Preta at 4 PM, at the Neo Química Arena, in a match valid for the opening round of the Paulista Championship.
