Corinthians lost 2-0 to Internacional in the first leg of the Copa do Brasil last 16 at Beira-Rio. Executive Marcelo Paz later questioned the officiating, and the women's side advanced in the Brasileirão Feminino.

According to Meu Timao, after the defeat Paz raised concerns about the referee's conduct and said there were reports of threats directed at Corinthians players.

The round of 16 tie began at Beira-Rio.

Corinthians' women secured a quarter-final place in the Brasileirão Feminino with four rounds to spare, for the second year running.

It all made for a busy Sunday for the Fiel.
