Corinthians make loan move for Renê, STJD case against Memphis, Neo Química Arena expansion | OneFootball

According to Meu Timao, Corinthians have lodged a loan bid for Renê, Memphis Depay has been charged by the STJD, and the club has moved to expand Neo Química Arena.

On Thursday, the penultimate day of the transfer window, Corinthians formalised a loan offer to Portuguesa for the 22-year-old forward. Portuguesa indicated a preference for a permanent sale, setting a €700,000 fee.

Earlier in the day, the STJD charged Memphis Depay for using a mobile phone on the bench during the match against Flamengo. If punished, he could face a suspension of one to six games, plus a fine, subject to judgment.

In the evening, Corinthians filed a permit application with São Paulo City Hall seeking approval for renovation works at Neo Química Arena.

The plans include removing seats in the South stand to raise capacity and boost the presence of organised supporters, alongside expansion of the East Upper section.
