Corinthians match worst recent league run after 1-1 draw with Flamengo | OneFootball

Corinthians drew 1-1 with Flamengo at Neo Química Arena on Sunday night in the eighth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, a result that matches their worst recent league run.

According to Meu Timao, the recent stretch also features draws against Cruzeiro, Santos and Chapecoense, plus a home defeat to Coritiba. Their last win was on 19 February, 1-0 over Athletico-PR.

The current sequence mirrors the end of last season, when Corinthians recorded two defeats and two draws, losing to Cruzeiro and Fortaleza and drawing with Botafogo and Juventude. Including the start of the 2026 Campeonato Brasileiro, the winless run hit five after defeat to Bahia at Vila Belmiro.

Between July and August 2025, the club endured six games without victory, three draws and three defeats. That spell ended with a win over Ceará at Arena Castelão.

Across all competitions, this is their longest barren run since June 2024, when defeats to Botafogo, Internacional and Palmeiras were paired with draws against Atlético-GO, São Paulo, Athletico-PR and Cuiabá, a sequence that culminated in António Oliveira’s exit. It also marks the toughest period under Dorival Júnior, who took charge in late April 2025.

Corinthians now have a gap without fixtures before visiting Fluminense at the Maracanã on the first of April at 21:30 in the ninth round.
