Corinthians may be without three, four one booking from suspension for Palmeiras derby | OneFootball

According to Meu Timao, Corinthians play their first derby of the year against Palmeiras at Neo Química Arena on Sunday at 20:30, in the seventh and penultimate round of the Campeonato Paulista first phase. Dorival Júnior could be without up to three players, with four more a booking from suspension.

The likeliest absentee is forward Kaio César. He limped out of the 3-0 win over Capivariano with pain in the back of his right thigh, and tests have confirmed an injury.

Left back Hugo Farias was also injured in that game. He was diagnosed with a lateral meniscus problem in his right knee after being substituted.

Defender Cacá is also likely to miss out. He is in talks over a move to Athletico-PR and was left out of the last matchday squad, and is expected to be omitted again for the derby.

Four players start one booking from a ban, midfielders Matheus Pereira, André Luiz and André Carrillo, plus striker Yuri Alberto. Any yellow card would rule them out of the final group game against São Bernardo.

Corinthians sit fifth on 11 points. Victory would take them to 14 and into second place, behind only Grêmio Novorizontino on 16.
