Corinthians midfielder scores vital goal, 72% win rate in 2025

The three points won by Corinthians against Vitória, in the match played this Saturday, the 25th, at Barradão for the 30th round of the Brazilian Championship, had an unlikely hero: midfielder Charles, who replaced Carrillo in the 18th minute of the second half and scored the only goal for the team, already in the final minutes of the match.

In addition to lifting Timão to tenth place in the tournament standings, now with 39 points, the result also consolidated an interesting statistic that favors the number 35. In 32 games this season playing for Corinthians, Charles now has 19 wins and 12 draws, having lost only once this year, in the match won by Juventude 2-1 on August 12.

This performance is far superior to what the player recorded in 2024. Last season, he took the field for the team 24 times, winning 11, drawing seven, and losing six. Comparing the success rates, Charles had 55.6% in 2024 and no less than 71.9% in 2025 – this rate, by the way, is the best among all players in the Corinthians squad.

According to a survey by Central do Timão, right after Charles, the top-5 success rates in 2025 are completed by defender João Pedro Tchoca (68.1%); midfielder Ryan (67.6%); defender Félix Torres (62.9%); and, tied, forward Yuri Alberto and midfielder André Carrillo (61.9% each). The three lowest ranked on the list are midfielder Breno Bidon (52.8%), attacking midfielder Talles Magno (50.3%), and defender Cacá (47.7%).
