During the World Cup period, which takes place from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, Corinthians’ Cultural Department decided to display, at the club’s Memorial at Parque São Jorge, a collection of historic items from players who wore the Corinthians shirt while representing the Brazilian National Team in World Cups.
According to the Cultural Department’s social media announcement, the exhibition consists of magazines, photographs, jerseys, and other objects that illustrate part of the history of the players called up to represent Brazil in World Cups while playing for Corinthians. According to Meu Timão, the collection should remain on display until the end of the biggest national team tournament on the planet.

Throughout its history, Corinthians has had 29 call-ups for World Cups. Rivellino, Baltazar, and Ricardinho took part in two editions, meaning 26 different players represented the Brazilian National Team in World Cups while wearing the Alvinegro shirt. Of those 26, eight became world champions while playing for Timão: 1958 – Gilmar and Oreco; 1970 – Rivellino and Ado; 1994 – Viola; and 2002 – Dida, Vampeta, and Ricardinho.
In the 2010, 2014, and 2022 World Cups, Corinthians had no representatives called up to the Brazilian National Team. The last time that happened was in 2018, when goalkeeper Cássio and right-back Fagner were called up by coach Tite to join Brazil’s squad for the World Cup in Russia. In that edition, Brazil were eliminated by Belgium in the quarterfinals.
