Corinthians have never previously lost the first leg of a Brasileirão Feminino final in any of their seven title runs. Beaten 2-1 at home by São Paulo in the opener, they now need an unprecedented turnaround to land title number eight.
According to Globo.com, the 2026 crown will be settled at 16:30 on Saturday at Morumbis, with TV Globo, sportv and ge tv broadcasting.
That first meeting brought Corinthians’ first defeat in front of their fans at Neo Química Arena. It was their 33rd women’s match there, taking the record to 29 wins, three draws and one loss.
Corinthians will be champions in normal time only if they win by at least two goals at Morumbis. A victory by one goal would take the final to penalties.
A draw is enough for São Paulo. They are aiming to end Corinthians’ dominance and lift the championship for the first time since the CBF formally placed it on the women’s calendar in 2013.
The first-leg reverse was only Corinthians’ third defeat across all finals played since 2013. Across their seven triumphs, Corinthians won three first legs and drew four, and they won every second leg in those successful campaigns.
