Corinthians have paid stipends to their academy players, completed on Monday, while image rights for the men’s and women’s first teams remain outstanding. The club is working to clear those by the fifth working day of July, and salaries on the standard payroll are up to date.
According to Globo.com, the stipends are intended to help youth players travel to training.
The club are dealing with severe financial strain and aim to sell players in the next transfer window, which opens on 20 July, to help balance the books.
Their target for the period is 25 million euros, around R$ 148.3 million at the current rate.
Corinthians’ gross debt is about R$ 2.7 billion, and they posted a R$ 168 million deficit in the first four months of the year, which is 130% above the budget approved at the end of 2025.
