Labyad struck a first-time winner at 43 minutes of the second half, sealing Corinthians’ 1-0 victory over Atlético-MG at Neo Química Arena in the 17th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, with Matheuzinho supplying the assist.
According to Globo.com, the player ratings highlighted key moments and performances. Gustavo Henrique almost opened the scoring at four minutes of the first half after a fine pass from Yuri Alberto. At 23 minutes, Matheus Bidu released Breno Bidon for a shot wide, and Lingard also missed from range on 28 minutes.
Hugo Souza was safe when called upon. Gabriel Paulista and Gustavo Henrique read danger well, and Raniele’s interceptions disrupted Atlético-MG. Allan helped launch attacks after the interval while covering defensively.
Yuri Alberto began brightly with that pass, then faded and wasted promising moves. André and Garro struggled to create and were loose in possession, and Kaio César mustered one effort after the break. Back from a right thigh injury, Memphis Depay featured for more than 30 minutes, showed for the ball but did not threaten and still needs fitness.
Matheus Bidu offered an outlet yet found it hard to contain attacks down his flank. Carrillo’s brief outing aided the rearguard late on. Fernando Diniz named his strongest XI and saw a subdued display, but introducing Labyad in the second half proved decisive, the midfielder netting in a second straight game.
