Corinthians’ squad reached two weeks of holiday on Sunday, after the 3-1 win over Grêmio on 30 May. According to Meu Timao, at least 16 players have shared family time and trips worldwide.
Domestic stop-offs included André Luiz in Rio de Janeiro, Allan at a pousada in Castilho, and Raniele in Chapada Diamantina. Raniele also toured Italy with his wife, a destination likewise chosen by Gustavo Henrique.
Jesse Lingard returned to England before the break because of his grandfather’s health and remains there. Mykonos in Greece proved the most popular, with Hugo Souza, Breno Bidon, Pedro Raul, Matheuzinho and Gabriel Paulista visiting. Matheuzinho then headed to Saint-Tropez, where he watched on TV Brazil’s draw with Morocco in their World Cup opener on Saturday.
Matheus Pereira saw that match at the stadium in New York/New Jersey, sharing the moment online. André Carrillo attended the tournament opener in Mexico City between the hosts and South Africa.
Yuri Alberto visited the Island of Adventures park in Orlando in the United States. Zakaria Labyad is in Morocco, sharing photos from Marrakesh.
Others posted family shots or training clips without locations, including Pedro Milans, André Ramalho and Kaio César. Charles published a video of his fitness work during the break.
The break ends on 24 this month, with players reporting back the next day for a mid-season camp. Corinthians face Cascavel in a friendly on 12 July, then resume against Remo at Neo Química Arena on 22 July in the Brasileirão.
