Corinthians reported back on Monday at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava after Sunday’s 1-0 Dérbi defeat by Palmeiras, beginning preparations for Red Bull Bragantino in the Brasileirão on Thursday.

Recovery was prioritised, with players undergoing targeted strengthening sessions in the gym following the weekend’s exertions. According to Meu Timao, field work continues on Tuesday morning under head coach Dorival Júnior.

Selection concerns persist for the visit of the Bragança Paulista side. Winger André Carrillo missed the Palmeiras game with discomfort in his left adductor and his involvement remains uncertain. Midfielder José Martínez, who returned to the club on Saturday, is injured and due to be reassessed on Monday.

Left-back Hugo Farias has a meniscus injury in his right knee and will undergo arthroscopy. Forward Kaio César has a right hamstring problem. Neither will be available.

Corinthians now turn back to the league after opening with a 2-1 defeat to Bahia on the 28th at Vila Belmiro. The Bragantino match is scheduled for 20:00 at Neo Química Arena and counts for the third round. The second-round fixture against Athletico Paranaense will be played on 19 February.
