According to Coluna Do Fla, Corinthians have told Hugo Souza they intend to sell him after the World Cup and would facilitate a deal if a bid exceeds €13 million.

Club president Osmar Stábile is aware of the goalkeeper’s ambition to play in Europe, which underpins the pledge to ease negotiations should a suitable offer arrive.

A sale at R$ 76 million would hand Flamengo R$ 30.4 million.

Corinthians’ total outlay for Hugo Souza stands at R$ 7.3 million, including R$ 1 million for the initial loan and R$ 1.5 million in fines for three matches he played against Flamengo while on loan.

A further R$ 4.8 million covered the share of his economic rights purchased from Flamengo, who still own 40% of the player.
