Corinthians beat São Paulo 2-1 at Fazendinha on Monday night, stretching their Brasileirão Feminino unbeaten run in this derby to 10 matches. The sequence has now spanned more than six years.
Meu Timao notes that the only league loss in this fixture came on 20 February 2020 at CT de Cotia, when Duda and Gláucia scored for São Paulo.
Since that meeting, Corinthians have avoided defeat against their rivals in the competition, posting seven wins and three draws. Across all Brasileirão Feminino clashes between the sides, Corinthians hold a 72.73% return.
Highlights include the 2024 final. Corinthians won 3-1 at Morumbi on 15 September, Vic Albuquerque twice and Millene, then sealed it 2-0 at Neo Química Arena through Jaqueline and Carol Nogueira.
In 2025 the derby came in the semi-finals. Corinthians won 2-0 at Pacaembu via Dayana Rodríguez and Jaqueline, then drew 2-2 at Canindé as Mariza and Andressa Alves answered Aline Milene and Isa, before beating Cruzeiro for a seventh title.
Monday’s match brought together the 2026 leader and runner-up. The victory put Corinthians on 25 points, four clear of Palmeiras on 21, and the rivals could yet meet again in the knockout phase if both progress.
Attention now turns to the Campeonato Paulista Feminino. Corinthians visit Red Bull Bragantino at Estádio Benito Agnelo Castellano on Thursday at 17:30, seeking their first win of the State campaign in round two.
