Only a month after lifting the Copa do Brasil against Vasco at the Maracanã, Corinthians have overhauled their set-up and accelerated a rebuild. According to Globo.com, Marcelo Paz has replaced Fabinho Soldado, a transfer ban has been lifted, and multiple deals have been pursued since 21 December 2025.

To date, only two signings have been announced, centre-back Gabriel Paulista and midfielder Matheus Pereira. Three more additions have been agreed in principle, right-back Pedro Milans, forward Kaio César and goalkeeper João Ricardo, who is due to report in March after surgery. Pedro Raul has also been reintegrated after a loan at Ceará.

Coach Dorival Júnior wants further reinforcements. He is asking for at least another left-back, a defensive midfielder and a forward. With little money available, Corinthians are prioritising loans or free agents.

He declined to discuss positions, adding that he would like extra options to help deliver a more consistent campaign than last year.

Six players have departed this season. Fabrizio Angileri, Maycon, Romero and Talles Magno did not renew their contracts, while Félix Torres and Ryan have been loaned to Inter and Fortaleza respectively.

The club expect further exits to ease squad size and wage bill. Three available players train apart, centre-back Renato, midfielder Alex Santana and forward Héctor Hernández. Others with limited opportunities could also depart, such as left-back Hugo and centre-back Cacá.

Corinthians visit Santos on Thursday at 19:30 at Vila Belmiro.
