Corinthians resume run of draws after four months | OneFootball

Corinthians were held 0-0 by Athletico-PR at Neo Química Arena in the 21st round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, their second straight draw and the first time they have stitched together stalemates since March.

That March run featured three successive league draws. It began on 15 March with a 1-1 at Santos in Vila Belmiro, Memphis Depay scoring his only goal for the club in 2026. Then came a 0-0 at Chapecoense in Arena Condá on 19 March, before a 1-1 against Flamengo at Neo Química Arena three days later, when Yuri Alberto scored.

Since then Corinthians have played 22 matches, winning 10, drawing seven and losing five. The current sequence started in the previous league round with a 1-1 at Bahia in Salvador, Angileri on the scoresheet at Arena Fonte Nova.

Across 2026, Corinthians have 17 wins, 14 draws and 10 defeats from 41 games, a 52.85% points return. They have scored 46 and conceded 33.

The Athletico-PR result left Fernando Diniz’s side ninth on 29 points. They visit Internacional at Beira Rio in Porto Alegre on Sunday at 19:30, the first leg of the Copa do Brasil round of 16.
