After two days off, Corinthians returned to training at CT Joaquim Grava on Wednesday afternoon without forward Kaio César on the pitch, as he remains under the medical staff.
The club said the reintroduction session comprised possession drills, attacking build-up work and small-sided games. Kaio César continues to recover from perifibrotic inflammation of the right hamstring.
Also absent were those away on international duty, Memphis Depay with the Netherlands, Hugo Souza with Brazil, André Carrillo with Peru, and Gui Negão with Brazil under-20.
With numbers reduced, head coach Dorival Júnior did not run through any line-up in training. Corinthians have a full week at the training ground, returning to action only on 1 April against Fluminense at the Maracanã.
Thursday's session featured two goalkeepers from the under-15s, Álvaro and Lázaro, drafted in due to a shortage in the position.
Hugo Souza is in the United States with Brazil, Felipe Longo is still not fully recovered from an elbow ligament issue, and Matheus Corrêa was assigned to the under-20s for a friendly. In the academy, Gustavo Milani is with Brazil under-17 and Matheus Rodrigues is representing Brazil under-16 at the Montaigu Tournament in France.
