Corinthians seek police inquiry into brother of Duilio Monteiro Alves over alleged fraud | OneFootball

Corinthians have filed a criminal report at the 52º Distrito Policial de São Paulo seeking an inquiry into Adriano Monteiro Alves over alleged structured fraud and attempted fraud, involving unauthorised use of the club’s name, brand and infrastructure, according to ge.globo.

In a document to police, the board alleges he used his seat on the Comissão de Marketing do Conselho Deliberativo, and his family link to ex-president Duilio Monteiro Alves, to negotiate contracts without authorisation.

The complaint says he arranged a 36-month exclusivity with Plug Financeira to integrate a payments system into the Universo SCCP digital ecosystem and platforms operated by Liga Tech for Fiel Torcedor, with strict targets, minimum revenues and heavy termination penalties.

The deal required an upfront payment of R$ 750,000, to be sent to Ervas da Amazônia Ltda, registered to lawyer Aldilene Francisca de Moraes. Meetings took place at her office, with ex-president Duilio attending one to convey an institutional setting.

The club only became aware when a Plug Financeira representative visited Parque São Jorge seeking president Osmar Stabile to progress and formalise the agreement. The file cites an intermediary named “Vini Int. Neg. Corinthians” and includes messages and an audio attributed to Adriano.

The club has requested a full investigation and says more people may be involved. Adriano Monteiro Alves rejected the claims and said he will pursue civil and criminal action, arguing they divert attention amid moves he says breach the Statute and suggest an attempted coup.
