Corinthians set 25 million euros sales target with no bids a month before the window | OneFootball

Corinthians aim to raise 25 million euros from player sales when the window opens on 20 July. According to Globo.com, no formal offers have arrived.

The hierarchy view sales as vital to stabilise finances while keeping a competitive squad for the second half of the season.

Hugo Souza, Matheuzinho, Matheus Bidu, André Carrillo, Breno Bidon and Yuri Alberto are attracting attention. Before the World Cup break, Fernando Diniz met some players to state he wants them to stay. Even so, at least one of the six could leave.

Yuri Alberto still wants European football in the second half of 2026, and his camp believe overseas bids could land early in the window.

The window runs from 20 July to 11 September, and the club’s plans are hard to predict given severe financial strain. Corinthians are under a transfer ban over a debt to Philadelphia Union for the 2024 signing of José Martínez, with other short term debts and May wages 15 days late.

If business is possible, they will target free agents on affordable salaries, with the attack seen internally as the area most in need.

Memphis Depay’s deal runs to 31 July and he has a renewal offer while with the Netherlands at the World Cup. Both sides are optimistic about agreeing terms in the coming weeks, with a potential contract to July 2028.
