Corinthians set for anniversary futsal friendly with Guarany de Espumoso | OneFootball

Corinthians have accepted the invitation from Clube Atlético Guarany, of Espumoso in Rio Grande do Sul, to play a commemorative futsal friendly to mark the Gaúcho club's 70th anniversary. The match is set for 15 March at 18:00 at Ginásio Módulo Esportivo.

According to Meu Timao, Guarany are a traditional futsal side in the South, with three Taça Farroupilha titles, plus the 2019 Copa dos Pampas and the 2024 Campeonato Gaúcho.

The visit aligns with their stay for the Super Copa Gramado, the main national pre-season event, held between five and 13 March at Ginásio Perinão in Gramado. The field features Atlântico Erechim, Campo Mourão, Carlos Barbosa, Cascavel Futsal, Magnus Futsal, Minas Tênis Clube, Praia Clube and Vasco da Gama.

For 2026, Corinthians have reshaped the squad with cost reductions. Defender Marlon left at the turn of the year, along with wingers Edimar, Igor Carioca, Luisinho and Luiz Brizzi, and pivots Israel Neto and Deives. Academy players Hélio, Iván Monteros, Mineiro, Axel Muñoz, Andrey and Yann also departed.

So far, two signings have been confirmed, left-footed winger Kevin Willian and pivot Fabinho.

In 2026, Corinthians will contest the Campeonato Paulista, the Liga Nacional de Futsal and the Copa LNF, and could host the Futsal Libertadores in the second half as host representative.
