Corinthians set their biggest home crowd of 2026 as they drew 0-0 with Palmeiras at Neo Química Arena, a derby that also saw two Corinthians players sent off.
According to Meu Timao, 46,263 watched the match in Itaquera, surpassing January's mark of 44,769 for the clássico with São Paulo, which ended 1-1 in the Campeonato Paulista's third round.
The club's attendances have been strong throughout the year. Their Supercopa do Brasil final against Flamengo on 1 February at Mané Garrincha in Brasília drew a record 71,244 for a final and generated more than R$ 12 million. Corinthians won 2-0 through Gabriel Paulista and Yuri Alberto.
In the Paulista, Corinthians recorded the best average home attendance in the first phase. Across four games against Ponte Preta, São Paulo, Capivariano and Palmeiras, they drew a combined 154,914, an average of 38,729 per match.
This was Fernando Diniz's first game in charge at Itaquera. His debut came in the opening Libertadores fixture against Platense, a 2-0 victory. Corinthians now prepare to resume the competition against Santa Fé of Colombia on Wednesday at 21:30 at the Casa do Povo.
