Corinthians returned to work at CT Joaquim Grava a day after drawing with Athletico Paranaense at Neo Química Arena, starting preparations to visit Internacional on Sunday in the Copa do Brasil last 16 first leg.

According to Meu Timao, the squad was split after Thursday's match. Players who logged more than 45 minutes completed indoor recovery, while the rest followed the usual plan with strength work in the gym.

On the pitch, Fernando Diniz oversaw combination play and finishing drills, then possession exercises with shooting. He closed with a ten versus ten game that included academy players.

Three players missed training after injuries sustained the previous night. Zakaria Labyad suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee plus meniscus damage, while Yuri Alberto sustained a muscle injury in the back of his right thigh, and both left the pitch on stretchers. The pair are expected to miss Sunday.

Rodrigo Garro took a knock to his right foot and will be assessed daily. Five others remain in the medical department, namely Matheus Bidu with pubic pain, Vitinho with a left knee meniscus injury, Alex Santana with knee trauma, Kayke with an ACL rupture, and Hugo Farias in transition after a left knee injury.

There was better news as Pedro Raul returned to training on Friday after pubic pain ruled him out against Athletico, and he should be available to Diniz for upcoming matches. Corinthians have one more session on Saturday before travelling south, with kick-off at Beira-Rio set for 19:30 on Sunday.
