Corinthians step up Ferroviária preparations as goalkeeper Lelê starts transition work | OneFootball

Corinthians stepped up preparations on Tuesday for their Paulista Feminino meeting with Ferroviária, which kicks off at 19:00 on Friday at Fazendinha.

The club said goalkeeper Lelê has started transition work with the goalkeeping group as she recovers from posterior right thigh tendinopathy diagnosed in June.

The session began with strength work in the gym, then mobility drills in pairs overseen by fitness coach Liliane Cruz.

Head coach Emily Lima then led possession exercises, crossing and finishing, and the staff rehearsed set pieces.

Only defender Agustina remains in the medical department.

Two further training sessions are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday before a return to competitive action. Corinthians last played on 30 May, winning 1-0 at Allianz Parque against Palmeiras to reach the Copa do Brasil Feminina last 16.

Timão sit second in the state standings on four points, while the Araraquara side lead with a 100% record after three rounds.
