Corinthians will use a special typeface for names and numbers against Flamengo on Sunday at 20:30 at Neo Química Arena. The eighth-round Brasileirão fixture forms part of the global Visible IN inclusion drive.

The initiative runs throughout March in reference to the International Day of Down Syndrome on 21 March. As reported by Meu Timao, the lettering is by Anna Vives, who created the world’s first dedicated typeface in 2012.

The campaign features eight clubs worldwide, including Barcelona, River Plate, Porto, Club América, Dynamo Kyiv, Universidad Católica, Kaizer Chiefs and Corinthians. All will use the typeface in official matches to broaden its reach.

Under the concept “Make the invisible visible”, the project aims to highlight recognition and inclusion of people with disabilities across society, with an expected reach of more than 200 million people globally.

The organisers are backed by Fundació Itinerarium, which develops social and educational inclusion projects that bring together people with and without disabilities.

On the pitch, the fixture is significant for Timão as they look to end a run of six matches without a win. They are ninth in the Brasileirão with nine points from seven games.
