Corinthians trio shine in scoring chart, No 10 stays top | OneFootball

Corinthians beat Botafogo 3-1 at Estádio Nilton Santos on Friday, with Vic Albuquerque, Gabi Zanotti and Jaqueline all scoring. As reported by Meu Timao, the spotlight is on the club’s leading trio in front of goal this season.

Zanotti tops the chart with five goals in seven matches. She has struck against Gotham and Arsenal in the Copa das Campeãs, added two versus América Mineiro, then one against Botafogo in the Brasileiro. The No 10 also reached 200 wins for the club and became the team’s all-time appearance leader.

Jaqueline sits next on three, netting against Palmeiras in the Supercopa, then Fluminense and Botafogo in the league. Since Emily Lima’s debut, she has started only Friday’s match.

Vic Albuquerque completes the current podium on two goals. She had not scored since the Arsenal game on the first of February, a run ended when she opened the scoring early against Botafogo.

Six others are on one apiece in this Brasileiro, namely Jhonson, Letícia Monteiro, Andressa Alves, Belén Aquino, Duda Sampaio and Erika.

Corinthians return next Friday to host Red Bull Bragantino at 21:00 in round six of the national league, with the venue still to be confirmed.
