According to Meu Timao, it was a busy Wednesday for Corinthians, with the under-20s beaten, the first team completing preparations for Peñarol, and a key Council vote rejected.

The under-20 side lost 4-1 to Athletico Paranaense in the ninth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro under-20.

Corinthians finalised their work for the third round of the Libertadores against Peñarol. The team are expected to field their strongest available line-up.

At the Deliberative Council meeting, the base text of a document went to a vote and was rejected by 93 votes against and 60 in favour.

Analysis of 15 highlights began afterwards, but the meeting was interrupted before it concluded.
