Corinthians win in Libertadores as Osmar Stabile faces impeachment bid and STJD hearing set | OneFootball

Corinthians beat Independiente Santa Fe 2-0 in the Libertadores, and the STJD scheduled a hearing over incidents from the weekend derby.

On Wednesday, goals from Raniele and Gustavo Henrique secured the win.

According to Meu Timao, a group of members and councillors has filed with the club’s Deliberative Council to impeach and order the precautionary removal of board president Osmar Stabile.

The filing alleges irregular and reckless management, said to breach the principles and rules that govern the Parque São Jorge club.

The Superior Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva has set Friday, 17 for the judgement of Corinthians, a staff member and four players over complaints linked to incidents in the derby against Palmeiras last Sunday at the Neo Química Arena.

The result made it two wins from two in Group E.
