Corinthians will be without six players for the 18th-round trip to Grêmio on Saturday at 17:30, their final match before the World Cup break at Arena do Grêmio in Porto Alegre.
Head coach Fernando Diniz may face selection problems, particularly in attack. According to Meu Timao, four of those absences are forwards, and ge.globo reports that Vitinho has a hamstring injury.
Key losses include Jesse Lingard, who has been allowed to return to England for a family matter. Memphis Depay has departed to join his national team for the World Cup.
Kayke remains in recovery from an anterior cruciate ligament injury in his left knee. Centre-back João Pedro Tchoca is out as he recovers from an inguinal hernia, and left-back Hugo Farias is still under the care of the medical staff.
Four players risk suspension for the next Brasileirão round if they receive a third booking on Saturday, namely goalkeeper Hugo Souza, full-backs Fabrizio Angileri and Matheus Bidu, and midfielder Rodrigo Garro. Lingard is also one card from a ban, but as he will not feature he cannot miss the Remo game.
Corinthians beat Atlético Mineiro 1-0 last time out, climbing two places to 15th on 21 points. They sit three points above Santos, the first team in the relegation zone, and need consecutive victories to move clear.
