Corinthians Women’s star hails club setup, eyes bright future

The Corinthians Women's team recently won an important title, by winning the Brazilian Under-17 Championship, overcoming Grêmio in the final. One of the highlights of the campaign was the 16-year-old goalkeeper, Ana Morganti, who is already seen as one of the biggest promises for the coming years.

The young player, who is also regularly called up for the youth teams, spoke about her training to the portal ge.globo: “The training I live gives me a wealth of experience, they are important for me to establish myself professionally. I think that the base is not about results per se, but it is training in its purest form”.

Ana Morganti's journey began in a school, went through the Girls in Field project and Santos before arriving at Timão in September 2022, where she signed her first professional contract in January 2025. She spoke about the structure offered by Corinthians: “I believe that, in the women's football scenario, there is still a lack of ideal specializations and tools. The structure and investment that Corinthians offers is extremely qualified. This daily support motivates us, we can see the evolution.”

In addition to the Under-17 Brazilian, the goalkeeper helped the Brabinhas to win the Under-15 Paulista in 2023. She spoke about the weight of these achievements for the Corinthians base in the modality. “As a base of Corinthians, we are still very doubted because we do not have such an imposing history. We are building all this. We have the will to show what the team is capable of in all categories. We carry the identity of Corinthians”, she explained.

Morganti chose her position companions at Corinthians as inspirations: “Rillary has been with me for a long time. Seeing her in the professional, having opportunities to play, all this motivates me a lot. If I had to choose an inspiration, at this moment, it would be her”, adding: “Our greatest inspirations are in our daily lives. Lelê has already played in the World Cup, has great experiences and is a giant person. Nicole is extremely dedicated, achieves wonderful things, just like Kemelli. It motivates a lot.”

Finally, the young player also spoke about her experience with the Brazilian National Team, where she got to train with the main squad. “This moment was very valuable to me, also because there were girls close to my age. But having examples, like Antônia. We can see that it's possible to fight for a dream and live it. It's a check in the career, it gave a feeling that it's worth it”, she said.
