Coritiba and Atlético Mineiro meet in the Brasileirão on 19 April 2026 at Estádio Major Antônio Couto Pereira, with seventh hosting eighth as both aim to firm up their continental push.
Coritiba have home advantage but Atlético Mineiro have dominated the recent head to head, winning seven of the last 10 meetings.
Coxa are unbeaten in three league games, all draws after a defeat at Athletico Paranaense. Atlético-MG have three wins in their last five across competitions, though their most recent league outing was a defeat at Santos.
Coxa-Branca are without forwards Keno and Rodrigues, suspended midfielder Wallisson and goalkeeper Pedro Morisco. Galo list Alan Minda, Patrick and Hendel Índio as injured.
Coxa have scored three league goals at home in five games, so efficiency may be vital. Galo have been beaten in five of six away league matches, yet did win 4-0 at Chapecoense earlier this month, so transitions and the first goal could shape the game.
A win would move Coxa to 19 points and further entrench them in the Copa Sudamericana places, edging them closer to the Libertadores spots. A Galo victory would take them to 17 points and see them leapfrog the hosts, strengthening their bid to climb the top half.
