Coudet on the brink at River, fixtures that could define his future | OneFootball

Eduardo “Chacho” Coudet is under pressure at River after three straight defeats to open the second half of 2026, with a demanding August set to shape his position.

River were knocked out of the Copa Argentina in the round of 32 by Aldosivi de Mar del Plata, then lost to Barracas Central and Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata in the Torneo Clausura. According to SuperDepor.com, he needs to return the side to winning ways or his position could be at serious risk.

The next test comes on Sunday, the second of August, against Rosario Central in matchweek three of the Clausura, kick-off 19:15.

A week later River visit Tigre on Sunday, the ninth of August. Mid-August brings their Copa Sudamericana round of 16 tie, with the opponent and dates still to be confirmed, and Argentinos Juniors visit on 16 August.

River then host Vélez on 23 August before an away trip to Banfield on 30 August.
