Former Sky Blues assistant manager Mick Brown has touted Coventry as a potential suitor for Kieran Trippier
Coventry City need just four points from their final five games to mathematically confirm their place in the Premier League for next season.
And that's even without taking into account the fact that their three closest challengers, Ipswich Town, Middlesbrough and Millwall, will likely all drop points between now and the end of the season. For some, the 84 points they are currently sitting on should be enough.
It won't be long before the Sky Blues are fully focused on preparing for the Premier League, and, as we've seen in recent years, massive squad additions will need to be made to ensure that Coventry's top-flight return lasts longer than a single season.
Exciting multi-million-pound stars will be arriving at the CBS Arena in the summer, but, as Leeds United have exhibited over the past season, bringing in experienced Premier League stars may also be key for Frank Lampard's side this summer, too.

One experienced head with over 200 Premier League appearances and 50 England caps to his name, who will be available on a free transfer this summer, will be Kieran Trippier, after he announced that his time at Newcastle United will come to an end at the conclusion of his current contract.
The 35-year-old has slowly begun to fall out of favour at St James' Park, but there's no doubting the influence he's had on the Magpies' rise since the club was taken over by a Saudi-led consortium, and he could have an equally important impact at the CBS Arena next season.
That is, according to former Coventry assistant manager Mick Brown, who told Football Insider that he believes the Sky Blues could turn to him ahead of their Premier League return.
"A lot of clubs are going to be looking at Trippier. They'll be aware of his availability and the fact he's leaving Newcastle, and they'll be on high alert," he said.
"One or two clubs in the Championship will be sniffing around, with Coventry City among them, to add a bit of experience and quality to their squad.
"Any club looking to gain promotion to the Premier League could benefit from having a player like him [and] Coventry are the ones at the moment who you're pretty certain will be going up, so if they could sign Trippier, it would be a real big boost for them.
"His age might still be a bit of a concern, but he's still got plenty of ability and has shown at Newcastle he's still capable of playing at a very high level."
Trippier will turn 36 in September, just weeks into the 2026/27 campaign, but as Brown alluded to, he'll still feel that he can contribute to a Premier League side despite his age.
He hasn't played in the Championship since his days at Burnley over a decade ago, and with his career winding down, you'd expect him to prioritise a move to a fellow Premier League side this coming summer.

Coventry fans may be a bit wary of their links with Trippier. Not because he lacks quality or experience, but mainly due to his age and the type of wages he may command.
They could look at Kyle Walker's move to Burnley ahead of the current season, one which hasn't had the impact that many at Turf Moor would have wanted, as Scott Parker's side are still staring down the barrel of an immediate Championship return despite the former Manchester City man's involvement, and fear a repeat happening to them.
However, there's no doubting the qualities that the 35-year-old has, and if he comes in to simply provide competition to Milan van Ewijk and be an experienced head in the changing rooms, who can still impact games when called upon, especially from set pieces, he'd be a helpful signing.
It's evident that the Sky Blues will need to splash the cash multiple times throughout the summer transfer window to remain competitive in the Premier League, so with this opportunity coming by way of a free transfer, it may be too good to turn down.
