Crefipar is exploring a phased roof for Arena Crefisa Barueri, a plan viewed for the coming years rather than immediately.
According to Nosso Palestra, the operator has been running feasibility studies and has sought quotes in recent months.
The company, owned by Palmeiras president Leila Pereira, won a 2024 tender to manage the venue for 35 years and has since upgraded lighting, the pitch and dressing rooms.
Pereira wants the arena to stage national and international concerts alongside major sports events. A roof is seen as necessary to improve comfort and service for spectators.
With events and a pitch change at Nubank Parque, Palmeiras have frequently used the Barueri venue in 2026. They have played 10 matches there this season, recording nine wins and one draw.
Palmeiras will host Cruzeiro on 16 May at Arena Crefifa Barueri because of a concert by the United States band Korn.
