Before turning their attention to their back-to-back clashes against Inter Milan, Lazio still have a Serie A away fixture to negotiate against Cremonese.
The Serie A clash between Cremonese and Lazio kicks off at 18:30 local time on Monday, May 4, at the Stadio Giovanni Zini in Cremona.

Following their sensational start to the season, few would have imagined that Cremonese would find themselves in this precarious situation in May.
The Tigers currently lie 18th in the league, but the good news is that Lecce are only one point ahead of them, so their fate remains within their own hands. However, the Lombardians must find a way to halt the free fall they’ve been enduring since December.
The management decided to replace Davide Nicola with Marco Giampaolo in mid-March, but the managerial change has only yielded a single victory, with the new head coach beating Parma on his debut, only to suffer three defeats in their four April fixtures. The latest was a 0-4 beatdown at the hands of Napoli at the Stadio Maradona.
Lazio are coming off a thrilling back-and-forth draw against Udinese. But despite dropping two points at home, they managed to leapfrog Bologna to 8th place in the Serie A table thanks to their superior head-to-head.
The fighting spirit they showed in their most recent outing confirmed the club’s rosy patch, which saw them beat the likes of AC Milan and Napoli in recent weeks, and more importantly, reached the Coppa Italia final after overcoming Atalanta in dramatic penalty shootouts.
At this stage, winning the domestic cup is the main objective for the Aquile, so Maurizio Sarri might rest some players in Cremona. Nevertheless, they would certainly want to preserve their place in the Top 8 to avoid an early Coppa Italia entry next season.
Cremonese (4-4-2): Audero; Terracciano, Baschirotto, Luperto, Pezzella; Barbieri, Thorsby, Maleh, Vandeputte; Bonazzoli, Sanabria.
Lazio (4-3-3): Motta; Marusic, Romagnoli, Provstgaard, Tavares; Dele-Bashiru, Paric, Basic; Isaksen, Maldini, Noslin.
Lazio will travel north with fresh legs, a high morale, and an almost empty treatment room. All in all, it’s hard to find an argument against Sarri’s men returning to Rome with three points in the bag. Cremonese will be desperate for a positive result at home, but they haven’t managed to beat a visiting team in five months. Therefore, the in-form Aquile should pile more misery on the Zini.
