Cristiano Ronaldo continued rewriting football history as he fired brace in Portugal’s 5 - 0 win over Armenia in the opening round of the 2026 World cup qualifiers.
The double lifted the Al Nassr star’s tally to 140 international goal cementing his status as the all time top scorer in men’s international football.
Ronaldo’s form after turning 30 has been extraordinary. Before that milestone, he netted 52 goal in 118 game for Portugal.
Since then, he 's struck 88 time in just 104 match, nearly doubling his previous output.
With his goals in Yerevan, Ronaldo’s official career tally now stands at 942 goal for club & country leaving him 58 shy of the mythical 1000 goal mark.
At his current scoring rate of 35 - 40 goals per season .. projections suggest Ronaldo could smash the 1000 goal barrier by 2027 when he will be 43.
