Al Nassr coach Jorge Jesus confirmed Cristiano Ronaldo suffered more serious injury and is receiving treatment in Spain.

Ronaldo travels to Spain for treatment

Cristiano Ronaldo traveled to Spain to continue treatment after suffering a hamstring injury according to Jorge Jesus head coach of Al Nassr.

Speaking to Mundo Deportivo, Jesus said the injury appears more serious than initially expected. The Portuguese forward went to Madrid to work with specialist doctor while continuing his recovery program.

The coach explained that such trips are normal for players who want to receive additional medical care. He added that the club hopes Ronaldo will recover quickly and return to help the team soon.

Ronaldo set to miss next match

Al Nassr confirmed in official statement that Ronaldo picked up the injury during the match against Al Fayha. The striker has already started his rehabilitation and will be evaluated daily by the club’s medical staff.

Because of the injury, Ronaldo will miss the upcoming game against Neom SC. The exact number of matches he will be absent for has not yet been confirmed.

Possible recovery timeline

The length of Ronaldo’s recovery will depend on the severity of the hamstring injury. Medical estimates suggest that a minor strain could keep him out for up to three weeks.

If the injury is classified as grade two, the recovery period may extend to one or two month. A more serious grade three injury could require up to six month of recovery.

World Cup concern

A long absence would raise concerns about Ronaldo’s availability for World Cup 2026 as the Portuguese star continues to manage injuries at a crucial stage of his career.
