Cristiano Ronaldo is still contesting the World Cup at 41 and remains in peak condition. According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, a smartwatch event measured his biological age at 29.
On the pitch there have been doubts in Portugal about whether he should start. He scored a penalty against Croatia the other day, and it remains uncertain if he will begin against Spain.
Ronaldo has stressed the need to look after the body early, saying his lifestyle rests on consistent habits that sustain fitness through a season.
He keeps moving by playing with his children and walking well beyond 10,000 steps a day. He also treats sleep as essential to physical and mental performance.
He regards routine as decisive, typically going to bed around 23:00 to 24:00 and waking near 08:30. Keeping stable hours, he says, supports recovery.
Recovery sits at the core of his preparation, including muscle compression and cryotherapy after sessions. He aims to match recovery time to training load.
His fitness coach Iván Perujo says the difference is constancy and self-discipline. Ronaldo often arrives first, leaves last and trains more than anyone, with a home gym and total commitment.
Perujo adds that most professionals work for about one to one and a half hours daily, while Ronaldo supplements with extra sessions, strength work and strict recovery planning, which has kept him competitive for two decades.
