Cruzeiro ‘to prioritise’ Alexandro Bernabei after Flamengo interest in Kaiki Bruno | OneFootball

Flamengo are interested in signing Kaiki Bruno for 2027, and Cruzeiro have begun searching the market for a new left-back with two options identified.

According to Rede 98, Cruzeiro are pessimistic about keeping the defender and have made Internacional’s Alexandro Bernabei their priority, while also checking on São Paulo’s Wendell.

Kaiki Bruno is a target requested by head coach Leonardo Jardim, who worked with the full-back at Cruzeiro in 2025. Flamengo’s plans at left-back for 2027 remain unsettled.

Alex Sandro is under contract at Flamengo until the end of 2026 but is considering a move to a club with a lighter schedule. Ayrton Lucas is currently out of favour with the Flamengo support.

Kaiki Bruno is tied to Cruzeiro until the end of 2027. In 2026 he has made 27 appearances with three assists, and he is in Brazil’s provisional World Cup list.

Flamengo visit Vitória at Barradão on Thursday at 21:30 Brasília time in the Copa do Brasil fifth phase second leg. After a 2-1 win in the first leg, they need only a draw to reach the last 16.
