Crystal Palace confirm Takehiro Tomiyasu signing | OneFootball

Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Japan international Takehiro Tomiyasu, with the experienced defender joining the Eagles after a successful trial period.

The 27-year-old becomes Pierre Sage's second signing of the summer following the arrival of Óscar Mingueza, adding valuable Premier League experience to Palace's defensive options.

Tomiyasu spent four seasons at Arsenal, where he featured at both right-back and centre-back. He also enjoyed a loan spell with Ajax during the second half of last season before representing Japan at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The defender has earned 46 international caps and arrives at Selhurst Park looking to reignite his career after an injury-hit spell in north London. He will wear the No. 17 shirt for Palace.

Speaking after completing the move, Tomiyasu said he was excited to begin the next chapter of his career and is eager to help the Eagles build on recent progress.
