Crystal Palace want Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola to replace Oliver Glasner at the end of the season, according to the Telegraph.

Glasner is leaving the Selhurst Park club when his contract ends in the summer, and Palace have been identifying prospective candidates to replace him.

The Eagles now want to convince Iraola to move to their dugout once his deal with Bournemouth ends at the end of the ongoing campaign.

The 43-year-old has been linked with Athletic Bilbao and a couple of other clubs given the uncertainty surrounding his future with the Cherries.

Palace will hope they can convince Iraola to remain in England while Bournemouth are still looking to get him to extend his deal.

The Spanish coach moved to the Premier League from Rayo Vallecano in 2023 and has impressed, helping the Cherries to 12th place at the end of his debut campaign.

They finished ninth under him last term and are currently 13th this season ahead of the final seven fixtures, seven points off fifth position.

Palace were hoping to punch above their weight again this season after winning the FA Cup last term and pipping Liverpool to the Community Shield at the beginning of the season.

However, Glasner has struggled to get the best out of his squad and both parties have agreed to go their separate ways at the end of the campaign.

Palace have also been linked with former Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank and more candidates are expected to emerge in the coming weeks.

It appears the Eagles want a head coach with Premier League experience to succeed Glasner, and both Iraola and Frank have what it takes.

Palace are back in action on April 9 when they host Fiorentina in the first-leg of the quarter-finals of the Conference League, and they could do with a victory to keep their dream of winning the competition alive.
