Crystal Palace have received a double injury lift before Thursday’s Europa Conference League semi-final against Shakthar Donetsk.
The Eagles reached the last four by beating Fiorentina 4-2 on aggregate, with the final set for Leipzig on Wednesday, 27 May. According to The Standard, the updates centre on Tyrick Mitchell and Evann Guessand.
Left-back Mitchell has been managing a minor Achilles problem after being forced off in the 3-1 defeat by Liverpool at Anfield. He appeared alongside Oliver Glasner at the pre-match press conference, suggesting he would be available.
Glasner cautioned he must be careful with pre-match declarations, noting he had said Mitchell was reliable before the player went off at half-time.
Guessand, the January loan signing, has been out with a knee injury sustained earlier this month. Glasner said he is progressing, back on the pitch without knee reaction after aggressive rehab. They are working towards the second leg, when he might be available for a few minutes if required, and they hope he will be ready.
