Crystal Palace hold Axel Disasi talks as Chelsea pursue Maxence Lacroix | OneFootball

Crystal Palace are in talks with Chelsea over Axel Disasi as they line up a potential replacement for Maxence Lacroix, with Chelsea also discussing a move for the 26-year-old, according to The Standard.

Palace are in a strong position, with three years remaining on Lacroix’s contract, and have been assessing alternatives throughout the summer.

Disasi spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham and Palace are now in active negotiations over a deal. Chelsea prefer a permanent sale and have set a £25 million fee plus add-ons. He has not reported for pre-season under new head coach Xabi Alonso as the club seeks a move for the 28-year-old.

West Ham are also reported to be interested after his encouraging stint at the London Stadium, but it is believed Disasi is not keen on playing in the Championship.

Palace also retain an interest in Augsburg centre-back Chrislain Matsima, though there have been no formal talks. The club enter a new era under Pierre Sage, who replaces Oliver Glasner after his contract expired in June.
