Crystal Palace reject AC Milan’s Jean-Philippe Mateta bid | OneFootball

Jean-Philippe Mateta (28) has an agreement in place to join AC Milan, however the Serie A side are yet to find an agreement with his current club, Crystal Palace, according to a report from Foot Mercato.

Mateta is looking to leave Crystal Palace this month, and he has even made a request to leave, as per Fabrizio Romano. However, the striker has closed the door to a move to Saudi Arabia, favouring a move to another Premier League club or to Serie A.

One door is perhaps closing, with Aston Villa, one of the interested parties, closing in on the signing of Tammy Abraham. However, the France international, who is targeting a place in Didier Deschamps’ World Cup squad this summer, is still the subject of significant interest from Italy.

Mateta already has an agreement in place with AC Milan on personal terms, Foot Mercato understands. However, the Serie A side’s bid, submitted on Friday, has been rejected by Crystal Palace. The value of the bid has not been revealed.
