Eagles on brink of first ever European final
Crystal Palace host Shakthar Donetsk in the Europa Conference League semi-final on Thursday.
Ismaila Sarr, Daichi Kamada and Jorgen Strand Larsen were all on target for Oliver Glasner’s side, who are one game away from a major European final.
The south Londoners come into this one off the back of a humbling 3-0 defeat at Bournemouth last time out, although Glasner shuffled his pack somewhat on the Dorset coast.
His big hitters did get some game time, but most were forced to settle for a place off the bench from the beginning.
Should Palace progress, they will face the winners of Braga or Freiburg in the final at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig.
Crystal Palace vs Shakhtar is scheduled for an 8pm BST kick-off on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
The match will take place at Selhurst Park.
TV channel: In the UK, the game will be televised live on TNT Sports 2, with coverage starting at 7.30pm BST.
Live stream: TNT Sports subscribers can also catch the contest live online via the HBO Max app and website.
Live blog: You can follow all the action on matchday via Standard Sport’s live blog, with expert analysis from Dom Smith at the ground.
For the hosts, there are three key men that could potentially make a return to action here.
Borna Sosa was ruled out of the defeat at Bournemouth with a minor knock, which meant that Jason Devenny had to fill in at left wing-back with Tyrick Mitchell rested.
Will Hughes was ill for the trip to the Vitality Stadium, while Evann Guessand could complete his comeback from a knee problem.
Eddie Nketiah’s campaign is over, and it remains to be seen what happens with Cheick Doucoure.
For the Ukrainian side, they are without two defenders.
Brazilian Marlon is a doubt, while Yukhym Konoplya is out for the rest of the season.
This should be another victory for Palace, who are on the precipice of their first ever continental final.
They are in poor form domestically, but they should have enough to see this tie through.
Draw, 1-1 - Palace win 4-2 on aggregate.
