Cunha Gets 8, Fernandes With 7.5 | Manchester United Players Rated In Hard-Fought Win Vs Nottingham Forest

Manchester United welcomed Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford earlier today as they looked to secure a positive result at home in the Premier League. The Red Devils made a bright start to the game and scored the opener in the fifth minute when Luke Shaw found the back of the net. Michael Carrick’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
Morato equalised for Nottingham in the 52nd minute before Matheus Cunha restored his team’s lead a couple of minutes later. Bryan Mbeumo scored Man United’s third goal in the 75th minute. Morgan Gibbs-White got a goal back for Nottingham just two minutes later, but Man United hung on to secure a hard-fought 3-2 win at the Theatre of Dreams.

GK: Senne Lammens – 6/10
Lammens made one solid save at the back but conceded two goals in the second half.
RB: Diogo Dalot – 7.5/10
He performed his defensive duties well and made two key chances going forward.
CB: Harry Maguire – 7/10
Maguire dealt with the danger when needed and was good on the ball.
CB: Lisandro Martinez – 7/10
He did his fair share of defending, but wouldn’t be pleased after conceding two goals in the second half.

LB: Luke Shaw – 7/10
He was a positive influence at both ends of the field and did well to score the opener in the fifth minute.
Casemiro anchored the midfield well and caught the eye at times inside the opponent’s half.
CM: Kobbie Mainoo – 7/10
He offered solid protection for his teammates at the back and engineered a few inviting chances in the final third.
RW: Amad Diallo – 6.5/10
Diallo caused a few headaches for his marker, but there was no goal for him.
CAM: Bruno Fernandes – 7.5/10
He engineered a lot of good chances for his teammates to score and has got another assist to show for his efforts.
LW: Matheus Cunha – 8/10
Cunha was a constant menace in the final third and did well to score in the 54th minute.
ST: Bryan Mbeumo – 7.5/10
He was not shy of having a strike at goal and managed to get his name on the scoresheet in the 75th minute.
Dorgu was solid at the back.
