FC Bayern has already invested heavily in the transfer market. Following the signings of Nathaniel Brown and Ismael Saibari, as well as other expenditures totaling more than 100 million euros, the focus is now shifting to the other side of roster planning. Several players are expected to leave the record champions before the transfer window closes.

Sports Director Max Eberl and Technical Director Christoph Freund continue to work on optimizing the roster for Vincent Kompany. In addition to potential new signings, departures are expected to bring in fresh capital while also freeing up space on the roster.

According to information from Sky, a total of six players are on the club’s internal transfer list.

Boey, Palhinha, and Zaragoza set to leave

Sacha Boey remains one of the top candidates for a sale. The right back returned to Munich after his loan to Galatasaray, but was unable to make a lasting impression there either. Although the Turkish club let their purchase option expire, Bayern still expects the Frenchman to leave. However, no concrete suitors are known at this time.

The situation with João Palhinha is much more dynamic. Although Tottenham Hotspur opted not to sign him permanently, the Portuguese player managed to put himself back on the radar of other clubs during his time in England. Aston Villa is currently considered a promising candidate, and Benfica Lisbon is also being linked with the midfielder. Since Palhinha has little chance of playing time under Kompany, Bayern would not stand in the way of a transfer.

Bryan Zaragoza is also expected to leave the club. After several loan spells, the Spaniard still has no future at Säbener Straße. Most recently, Sevilla FC and Deportivo Alavés were mentioned as possible suitors. Munich prefers a permanent sale if possible.

Question marks over Ito and Kim

The situation with Hiroki Ito is somewhat more complicated. The Japanese national team player has been repeatedly set back by injuries since his transfer and has not yet been able to establish himself on a permanent basis. The signing of Brown has further intensified the competition for the left-back position. Should a suitable offer come in, Bayern would likely be open to discussions as things stand.

In the case of Min-jae Kim, however, the situation has recently changed. The South Korean was long considered a potential transfer candidate, but impressed with consistently strong performances toward the end of last season. As Sky recently reported, there has reportedly been a change of course internally. According to the report, club officials are currently planning to keep the center back beyond this season. Whether a lucrative offer could still change this stance remains to be seen.

There is currently the least movement regarding Armindo Sieb. Although the attacking player returned to Munich after his loan to FSV Mainz 05, a long-term future with the record champions seems out of the question. His contract runs through 2027, but no concrete suitors have emerged so far.

There is likely to be more activity in the FC Bayern squad before the end of the transfer window. While the Munich club is evaluating further signings, proceeds from several player sales are expected to provide the financial foundation for potential new acquisitions and further streamline the squad for the upcoming season.
